Spiced nuts are a versatile snack that can be enjoyed with beer, taken on the go, or even used as a topping for salads and other dishes. Any mix of nuts will do. Mix them with sugar and spices, and the egg whites will help hold the spices on the surface of the nuts.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 large egg white
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • Coarse salt
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice mix or masala chai
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 3 cups mixed nuts, such as cashews, pecans, and peanuts
  • 2 drops of Worcestershire sauce

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 135°C. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the egg white in a large bowl with 1 tablespoon of water until foamy.

  3. In a small bowl, combine sugar, 1.5 teaspoons salt, spice mix, and cayenne pepper. Mix the nuts with the egg white, then add the sugar-spice mix and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Place the nuts in small piles on the prepared baking sheet and bake until golden brown, 30-35 minutes. Let cool completely, then break into pieces.
