Feta Cheese Appetizer with Dipping Sauce - A Detailed Recipe.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 225 g of feta cheese, sliced
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh thyme leaves
  • 225 g large olives with pits
  • Toasted Pita Triangles:
    1 pita bread

Tzatziki sauce:

  • 2 packs (200 g) Greek yogurt
  • 1 unpeeled greenhouse cucumber
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1.5 tsp. crushed garlic (2 cloves)
  • Salt and ground black pepper

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Place the yogurt in a medium bowl. Grate the cucumber using the largest holes of a grater and squeeze it with your hands to remove most (but not all) of the liquid. Add the grated cucumber to the yogurt. Add the sour cream, lemon juice, vinegar, dill, garlic, 2 teaspoons of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper and stir. Taste for seasoning.
  2. To serve, arrange the olives, pita triangles, and tzatziki sauce on a serving platter with slices of feta, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with thyme leaves. Refrigerate if desired.

Toasted Pita Triangles: Preheat oven to 180°C.

Cut the pita into 8 triangles and place them on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast for 10 minutes.
