Ingredients:

  • 225 g crumbled feta cheese
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 2 finely chopped Calabrian chili peppers
  • 1 crushed clove of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped oregano
  • Ground black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fried pita as an addition
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a food processor, combine feta cheese, olive oil, chili pepper, garlic, oregano, and black pepper. Blend on low speed for 6 minutes until the cheese is fluffy.

    Add lemon juice and pulse until combined, about 2 minutes. Transfer the paste to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least an hour or until ready to use. Serve with toasted pita bread.
