The drink is good as with alcohol, and without. When preparing eggnog for guests, you can skip the alcohol and serve it separately, giving them a choice. The taste is reminiscent of melted vanilla ice cream, which is unsurprising given the similarity of the ingredients. It's said that you either love eggnog or hate it. Those who are still unsure should try this recipe, and perhaps even increase your eggnog-loving following.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In one bowl, beat the egg yolks with 1/2 cup sugar until stiff. In another, beat the egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar until stiff peaks form. In a third bowl, beat the cream until stiff and fold it into the yolks. Gently fold in the egg whites, then pour in the milk, bourbon, vanilla, and, if desired, a pinch of nutmeg. Chill in the freezer before serving.
- Serve eggnog in a large punch bowl.
