Ginger ale, popular since the last century, was mentioned in the Harry Potter story, where the hero asks for "ginger ale." So, in 1820, Australia began commercially producing ginger beer, a non-alcoholic drink named for the bubbles that form in a glass of beer. But it's just carbonated water. The popular drink became the basis for various punches, and it hasn't been on the menu at the Zephyr Club for 10 years, and as long as the club is full, the fairy tale for adults won't end.
