"I don't know about you, but I've completely given up on slider buns. They're so boring compared to waffle fries," admits Ree Drummond. She makes her miniature cheeseburgers bunless. The filling is sandwiched between round waffle fries on top and bottom, creating a surprisingly delicious, fun treat that kids absolutely adore!

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. French fries:

Bake the fries in the oven for 20 minutes (according to package directions).

    Cutlets:

Place the ground beef in a bowl and mix with garlic powder, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands and form into eight 60g (2.5oz) patties. Set the patties aside on a plate.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 3 minutes. Flip the patties over and cook for another 30–45 seconds, then top each patty with a small slice of cheese. Cover the skillet and cook for another 3 minutes. The cheese will melt better under the lid. Transfer the patties to a plate.

  3. Place a lettuce leaf on the fries, drizzle with 1 teaspoon of ketchup and 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise. Add red onion and place a patty on top. Top with a tomato slice, then a pickle slice. Top with another french fry and secure with a toothpick. Assemble 7 more sandwiches in the same way and enjoy!
