Pear and ginger crumble - detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Filling

  • 1.4 kg firm but ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp. premium flour
  • 1.5 cups vanilla ice cream (optional)

Crumble topping

  • 1/4 cup oat flour or whole wheat flour
  • 2/3 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup canola oil

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

    For topping: Combine ingredients in a medium bowl and mix with your hands or a fork.

    For the fillingCombine the pear slices, lemon juice, and ginger in a large bowl. Add the sugar and flour and mix thoroughly.
  2. Grease a 20 x 20 cm pie pan. Spread the pear mixture into the pan. Sprinkle with the topping.

    Bake the crumble until the pears are soft and the topping is golden brown, about 40 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature, with a scoop of ice cream if desired.

    You can also add dried fruits to this pear pie.
