Apple crumble with vanilla ice cream - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 4 Granny Smith apples, halved
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or canola oil
  • 110 g melted butter
  • 8 tbsp. l. brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 0.5 l vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup prepared caramel sauce, heated
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Heat grill to medium heat.

    Place the apples in a medium bowl and toss with the oil. Place the apples on the grill, cut-side down, and grill until browned. Turn the apples over and continue grilling until well browned. Remove from the grill and let cool.
  • Step 2
  • Once cool enough to handle, slice the apples. Place the apple slices in a bowl and add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 4 tablespoons brown sugar, and 2 ounces (55 g) of melted butter.
  • Step 3
  • In another bowl, combine the remaining melted butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, and granola.

    Place 1 scoop of ice cream into 4 bowls and top with the apple mixture. Sprinkle the granola mixture over the apples and drizzle with caramel sauce, if desired.
