All kids love hamburgers, but to avoid worrying about the abundance of fat and empty calories, offer them healthy burgers. These patties are made with lean ground turkey or beef mixed with large pieces of green olives, fresh parsley, and spices. Grill them or fry them in a grill pan and serve them on whole-grain buns with a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato. The patties are juicy and delicious, and most importantly, they're healthy, rich in fiber and micronutrients.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 450 g lean ground turkey or beef (maximum 10% fat)
  • 0.5 cups coarsely chopped pitted green olives (60 g)
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Combine the ground meat, olives, parsley, cumin, and black pepper in a bowl, distributing the ingredients evenly. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Spray a grill pan with cooking spray and heat over medium heat, or light an outdoor grill. Grill the patties for about 5 minutes per side, until cooked through.

  3. Serve the patties on whole grain buns with tomato slices and lettuce leaves, with ketchup and mustard for dipping.
