Vegetarian burger with bean patty

How to Make - Veggie Burger with Bean Patty
Kitchen:Mexican,
Time: 45 min.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 4 hamburgers

Black bean burgers are a hit with vegetarians and meat eaters alike. They're much healthier than traditional beef patty sandwiches, rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and significantly lower in fat and "bad" cholesterol. To save half a day preparing them, use canned black beans. Mash them with a fork to maintain their texture, then mix them with breadcrumbs, egg, and spices. The patties are delicious, spicy, and don't fall apart when fried. Serve them on buns with traditional burger toppings: cheese, hot mayo, lettuce, and tomato slices.
