This delicious and healthy burger excels in every component: the whole-wheat bun, the thick turkey patty, and the sweet and spicy caramelized onions. The patties, in addition to turkey, include a touch of ground beef, spices, and balsamic vinegar for a rich flavor. Pan-fry the patties until golden brown on both sides, then finish cooking them in the oven. This will ensure they're juicier. Serve on split buns with caramelized onions and other toppings of your choice, such as tomato, lettuce, mustard, or ketchup.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 190°C.
- Crush the garlic cloves, sprinkle with salt, and mash with the flat side of a large knife until a coarse paste forms. Combine the garlic in a small bowl with the balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.
- Crumble the ground turkey and beef into a large bowl. Pour the garlic mixture over the meat and form into 4 140g (5 oz) patties. Cover and set aside while you prepare the onions.
- Meanwhile, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned but not mushy, about 15 minutes. Drizzle the onion with the remaining 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat for 1 minute. Brush the patties with olive oil on one side and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook, seasoned side down, until browned, about 2 minutes. Brush the other side of the patties with oil, season with salt and pepper, flip, and cook until browned on the other side, about 2 minutes more.
- Transfer the patties to a baking dish and bake until a meat thermometer inserted into the side of the patty registers 160°F (71°C), about 5 minutes. Place the patties on buns or in a pita and let rest for a few minutes. Serve with caramelized onions and any toppings you desire.
