Enjoy all the delights of fresh, juicy peaches in this salad with a honey-red wine vinaigrette. It's quick and easy to prepare, but the thin peach slices and candied pecans add a summery charm and a touch of sophistication. The sweet peaches are perfectly complemented by savory arugula and aromatic pieces of smoked Gouda. Serve this salad as an appetizer with white wine or as a side dish with meat or chicken.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1-2 large ripe peaches, remove the pits and cut the flesh into thin slices
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 shallot, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup candied pecans
  • 110 g smoked Gouda, crumbled
  • 150 g of small arugula

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a jar with a lid, combine the olive oil, vinegar, honey, and mustard. Add the shallots, salt, and pepper. Seal the jar and shake to combine.The dressing can be prepared 1 day in advance and stored in the refrigerator in a jar with a lid.).
  2. Place the peaches, pecans, Gouda, and arugula in a large bowl. Drizzle with the dressing, then toss to coat. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately.
