This fragrant, golden bread, topped with a honey-mustard glaze, is quick and easy to make, and literally bursting with chunks of two types of cheese (Gruyère and Havarti), ham, and green onions. It's best served warm, but you can lightly toast it the next day. It's a great substitute for plain bread in a bread basket for lunch and perfect for snacks or appetizers, for example, at a house party. This ham and cheese bread can be served as is—it's already packed with all the goodness! Or use it in sandwiches and other appetizers.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9 x 5 x 3-inch (22 x 12.5 x 7.5 cm) metal baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard, coarse salt, and cayenne pepper. In a large bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup milk, vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon honey, and eggs until smooth. Stir in the flour mixture and knead into a dough. Then fold in the ham, 3/4 cup grated cheese, diced cheese, and green onions.
- Pour the dough into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the top with the remaining 1/4 cup grated cheese. Bake until the bread is puffed and golden brown and a wooden skewer or cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean, 40-45 minutes.
- Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together 1 tablespoon each of honey and milk and the remaining 1.5 teaspoons of dry mustard until smooth. Microwave until just simmering, about 20-30 seconds. Turn the loaf out onto a wire rack and generously brush with warm glaze. Cool completely.
