Pistachios add texture and a delicious appearance to this light cheese log appetizer. The log itself is made with cream cheese, grated sharp cheddar, lemon zest, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Serve with crackers or mini baguette toasts.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 220 g of cream cheese, room temperature
- 3/4 cup grated sharp cheddar
- 3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Zest of half a lemon, finely grated
- A pinch of cayenne pepper
- 0.5 cups roasted salted pistachios, finely chopped
- Crackers or sliced bread for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon zest, cayenne pepper, and a few grinds of black pepper until smooth.
- Line your work surface with a large piece of plastic wrap and spread the cheese mixture on top. Using the plastic wrap, shape it into a 15 cm long log. Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour.
- Place the pistachios on a large plate. Unwrap the cheese log and roll it in the pistachios, coating it completely. Serve immediately or wrap in clean plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
