- Vegetable or canola oil to grease the baking sheet
- Protein of 1 large egg
- 4 cups unsalted raw cashews

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Combine coconut, sugar, garam masala, curry powder, turmeric, if using, and 1.5 teaspoons salt in a small bowl and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet with vegetable oil.
- Nuts:
Place the egg white in a large bowl and whisk until foamy. Add the cashews and stir to coat. Add the spice mixture and stir to coat. - Spread the nuts evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, 15-20 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet, then transfer to a large bowl.
