For a quick Bolognese sauce for pasta, try this recipe from Sunny Anderson. You'll need store-bought pre-made meatballs from the convenience food section, pizza sauce, some cream, and some broth. The meat sauce is ready in minutes! Add cooked pappardelle pasta, sprinkle with cheese, and enjoy.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 pound frozen flame-broiled beef patties, thawed (such as Ballpark)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cups heavy cream
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 450 g fresh pappardelle pasta
  • Parmesan, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large saucepan, bring salted water to a boil.
  2. Using your hands or a knife, break or cut the beef patties into pea-sized pieces.

  3. In a large skillet with straight sides, combine the pizza sauce, chicken broth, heavy cream, nutmeg, and meat and heat over medium-high heat. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce is heated through, 2-3 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in boiling water according to package directions. Drain, add the pasta to the sauce, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts. Serve immediately.
