Spiced Nut Tea with Bacon - A Detailed Recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Iced tea

  • 4 tea bags
  • Sugar or sweetener, optional

Spice mix

  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Baked nuts

  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 1 tbsp. raw hazelnuts
  • 1 cup raw peanuts
  • 1 cup raw pecans
  • Vegetable oil for greasing the baking pan
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 cup chopped cooked bacon

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. For iced teaSteep the tea bags in 8 cups of boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the bags and add sweetener to taste (optional). Add 1/2 cup of ice cubes and let them melt. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. To prepare the spice mixture: Combine sugar, cinnamon, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, allspice, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg in a small bowl and set aside.

    For nutsPreheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease a baking sheet.

    Place the egg white in a large bowl and beat until foamy. Fold in the almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts, and pecans. Add the spice mixture and mix thoroughly.

  3. Spread the nut mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet, then toss with the bacon and transfer to a large bowl. Serve with iced tea.
