When there's no time for a barbecue or everyone's starving while the meat cooks over the coals, this recipe for quick but delicious grilled smoked sausages will come in handy. The sausage pieces are threaded onto skewers and grilled until crispy, and the perfect sauce is a delicious blend of ketchup, hot mustard, and hot sauce. With just three ingredients, the sauce is incredibly flavorful. A tart corn relish, made with pickles, bell peppers, spicy jalapeños, spices, and grilled corn kernels, is also a great complement to the sausages with hot sauce.

Sausages
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 0.9 kg smoked sausages or shpikachki, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 3/4 cup hot mustard
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- To serve: tart corn relish, recipe below
Tart Corn Relish
- 2 ears of corn
- 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 0.5 cup chopped pickled picante peppers
- Half a small red onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet pickles
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 red jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 0.5 tsp sugar
- Special equipment: 8-10 wooden skewers, soaked in water for about 20 minutes

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Soak 8-10 wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat and brush with vegetable oil. Thread the sausages onto skewers, leaving some space between each piece. Grill until lightly crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Combine ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce in a bowl. Serve with the sausages for dipping.

Tart Corn Relish:
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Brush the corn with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, sprinkle with cumin, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Grill until golden brown and charred on all sides, 5-8 minutes, turning the corn as needed.- In a large bowl, combine the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil, picante pepper, onion, pickles, parsley, jalapeño, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cut the corn kernels from the cobs and mix them with the relish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
