When you need a quick and easy way to make a delicious pizza, Italian sausage is a lifesaver. Grill it and slice it into rounds. Pair it with grated cheese and marinara sauce for a delicious topping for a juicy pizza bursting with Mediterranean flavors. You can use store-bought dough and sauce, as well as a mix of grated Italian cheeses. Spread the filling on a grilled flatbread and cook until the cheese is melted. Serve with a simple, refreshing salad of sweet peppers, onions, and herbs in a balsamic vinaigrette.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 450 g of chilled pizza dough, at room temperature
- 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
- 450 g sweet or spicy Italian sausages (about 6 pcs.)
- 2 sweet peppers (any color), thinly sliced
- 2 cups fresh parsley leaves
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup prepared marinara sauce
- 1 cup Italian cheese mix (about 100g)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat the grill to medium heat. Place the pizza dough on a baking sheet and brush with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Grill the sausages, turning frequently, until cooked through, about 8 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board and slice into 1/4-inch-thick rounds.
- In a medium bowl, combine the bell pepper, parsley, red onion, remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste and toss to combine.
- Stretch the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Place the pizza dough directly on the grill grate; cook until the crust is golden brown and has grill marks, about 5 minutes. Flip and brush the crust. marinara sauce.
- Top with half the cheese, then the sausage and the remaining cheese. Cover and cook until the cheese is melted and the pizza crust is cooked through, about 6 minutes more. Remove the pizza from the grill; let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice. Serve with the bell pepper salad.
