Traditionally, a summer seafood boil involves simmering it outside in a boiling pot with jacket potatoes, corn, and sausages, but Sunny Anderson suggests baking it all in the oven and enjoying that same delicious flavor without waiting for summer. Cook everything on a large baking sheet, grab your favorite beer from the fridge, and invite the company to the table!

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 700 g red potatoes for steaming
  • 2 ears of corn, cut into 3 pieces
  • 1 lemon, cut into 4 pieces
  • 200g andouille sausage, halved lengthwise, then cut into 5cm pieces.
  • 4 tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 6-8 fresh sprigs of thyme, finely chopped
  • 900 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined (20-30 pcs.)
  • 2 tbsp seafood seasoning

  1. Place the bag of potatoes in the microwave and microwave for 6 minutes, then cut the potatoes in half or quarters, depending on size.
  2. Place the corn, lemon, potatoes, sausage, butter, and thyme in a large bowl. Toss to combine and place on a baking sheet, with the corn standing up and the sausage pieces cut-side down.

  3. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  4. Form a package out of two sheets of foil, sealing the edges tightly. Place the shrimp in the package and add seafood seasoning. Add the beer and seal the package. Place it on a baking sheet on top of the sausage and vegetables.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the potatoes are tender and the sausage is sizzling, 35-45 minutes. Remove from the oven and carefully open the shrimp package. Place them on the baking sheet and serve.
