These crispy potato slices require just a couple of tablespoons of oil to cook in the oven, making them a healthier alternative to homemade French fries or chips. They can also be served as a side dish, such as with chicken or roast beef.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 700 g red potatoes
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place a rimmed baking sheet on the center rack of the oven and preheat the oven to 220°C
  2. Slice the potatoes into slices approximately 0.3 cm thick, drizzle with oil, and season with salt and pepper. Carefully place the slices in a single layer on a hot baking sheet and bake until golden brown and crisp, turning occasionally with a metal spatula to distribute them evenly, 30–35 minutes.
