Fresh ricotta, lemon zest, honey, and toasted almonds make a perfect combination for elegant baguette sandwiches, perfect as an appetizer at a party or bachelorette party. Spread the ricotta on the sandwiches once the baguettes have cooled completely.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 small baguette
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced ​​almonds with skins
  • 1.5 cups fresh ricotta
  • Zest of 1 lemon + extra for garnish
  • Honey to drizzle

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Slice the baguette diagonally into 0.8 cm (1/4 inch) thick slices. Place them on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with 0.5 teaspoon of salt. Bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, place the almonds on a second baking sheet and lightly toast in the oven, about 8 minutes. Let the almonds and baguette slices cool.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the ricotta with the lemon zest and season with a pinch of salt and a little freshly ground black pepper. Spread the ricotta on the toast and drizzle with honey. Top with almonds and lemon zest, if using.
