  • 1 tbsp + 2 tsp olive oil
  • 0.5 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 tbsp. grated parmesan
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 large egg

Toppings

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease with 2 teaspoons of olive oil.
  2. Place the sweet potato cubes in a food processor. Process until the mixture resembles coarse salt. Place the chopped sweet potato, almond flour, Parmesan cheese, salt, garlic powder, and egg in a bowl and process until smooth.

  3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet and form into a circle 12 inches in diameter and about 0.5 inches thick. Brush with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Bake until golden brown around the edges, 25 to 30 minutes.
  4. Toppings:

Meanwhile, bring a saucepan of salted water to a boil. Place a bowl of ice water nearby. Blanch the rapini in the boiling water, then transfer to the bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and set the rabe aside.
  5. Place the skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned, about 8 minutes. Transfer the sausage to a plate with a slotted spoon.
  6. Remove the crust from the oven and top with pizza sauce, blanched rapini, sausage, goat cheese, and red pepper flakes. Return to the oven and bake until the topping is heated through and the cheese is melted, another 8-10 minutes.
