Time: 5 min.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 1 cocktail

Passion fruit, grown in tropical regions around the world, is typically juiced by separating the crunchy seeds from the pulp. However, these seeds are no less beneficial, and when making a homemade smoothie, be sure to leave them in, as they provide essential fiber. Passion fruit is also a good source of vitamins A and C, and plant-based iron. Combined with ripe mango and orange juice, it creates a wonderful tropical flavor that's a great morning pick-me-up and mood-lifter.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Cut the passion fruit in half and scoop the pulp and seeds into a blender. Add the mango, yogurt, orange juice, vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and 4 ice cubes.
  2. Blend until smooth; there will still be some seeds floating in the smoothie. Drink immediately.

    Note

If your passion fruit is a bit tart, you can add a little honey or natural maple syrup to sweeten the smoothie. However, keep in mind that the carb and sugar content will increase.
