Strawberry-banana smoothie bowl with coconut - detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 tbsp unsalted pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon green tea
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dark chocolate
  • 4 small strawberries
  • 4 large blueberries
  • 2 cups frozen tropical fruit mix (mango, papaya, guava with strawberries)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup chilled coconut milk
  • 1 - 2 teaspoons of honey
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine the coconut, pistachios, and tea in a small bowl. Melt the chocolate in the microwave, heating in 30-second intervals, stirring occasionally. Let cool slightly, then transfer to a small plastic bag and snip off one corner.
  • Step 2
  • Make strawberry ladybugs: hull the strawberries, then cut a piece off one end of two berries for stability. Draw a line down the center of each strawberry with melted chocolate and add dots on either side of the line. Place a little chocolate in the hollows of each strawberry and attach a blueberry.
  • Step 3
  • Blend the strawberries, frozen fruit mix, banana, coconut milk, and honey in a blender. Divide between two bowls. Garnish with coconut and strawberry ladyfingers.
