A refreshing drink that both adults and children will love. Strawberries, maraschino cherries, lime, and lemon combine to create a delightful flavor combination you'll want to sip again and again. Perfect for summer, especially during strawberry season.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 8 cups hulled and halved strawberries
  • 4 tbsp. sugar + more as needed
  • 3 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 2 jars of maraschino cherries in their own juice

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a blender, combine strawberries with 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water.
  2. In a large bowl, add the remaining 2 cups sugar and 5.5 L (22 cups) water and stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the lemon juice, lime juice, strawberry puree, and cherries with their juices and stir; add more sugar if desired. Chill thoroughly.

  3. Fill glasses with ice and top with strawberry-cherry limeade.
