The end of the week is a great excuse to add a little alcohol to your daily smoothie and unwind. This smoothie offers a delicious combination of strawberry and orange, and its fruity flavor is perfectly enhanced by orange liqueur.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 8 large strawberries, hulled, halved and frozen
  • 3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 0.5 tsp orange zest
  • 1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream
  • 1 tbsp. sugar (or more if the berries are sour)
  • 2 tbsp. l. orange liqueur
  • Orange slices, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a blender, combine frozen strawberries, orange juice, and orange zest. Blend until coarsely chopped. Add orange liqueur, frozen yogurt, and sugar.
  2. Continue blending until smooth and frothy. Divide the smoothie into 4 small glasses, garnish each serving with an orange slice, and serve.
