Looking for a surefire way to get more spinach? This smoothie blends a handful of this healthy young green with fruit and plant-based milk. Fruits like peaches or mangoes add a pleasant sweetness. Both fresh and frozen fruit are great.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups vanilla almond, coconut, or soy milk
  • 0.5 cups whole rolled oats
  • 1 and 1/4 cups fresh, frozen, or canned peaches or diced mango
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup loosely packed baby spinach
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 bananas
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a blender, combine milk and oats and blend for 15 seconds on high power.
  • Step 2
  • Add peaches, ice, spinach, honey, vanilla, and bananas and blend until smooth, about 45 seconds. Serve in glasses.
