Bitters add a crisp flavor to this sweet cocktail of freshly squeezed carrot and orange juice. If you can't find orange bitters, use any other cocktail bitters. Serve well-chilled with ice and a maraschino cherry.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 small carrots, peeled
  • 1 medium orange, peeled
  • 60 ml orange liqueur
  • A few dashes (shake well) of orange bitters
  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Juice the carrots, then the oranges, following your juicer's settings for each fruit. Combine the juices with orange liqueur and bitters in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds.
  2. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
