This popular and easy-to-make bread, based on Alton Brown's recipe, can be baked as a single loaf or as several smaller muffins. Either way, you'll get a fragrant baked good bursting with fresh pumpkin, crunchy pumpkin seeds, and warm cinnamon.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 cups of coarsely grated fresh pumpkin
  • 1 cup toasted pumpkin seeds
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cups of sugar
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs category CO
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 160°C.

    Mix flour, cinnamon, soda, baking powder and salt.

    In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Combine the contents of both bowls and add the grated pumpkin and pumpkin seeds. Once the batter is smooth, pour it into a 23 x 13 x 8 cm nonstick loaf pan.

    If you don't have a non-stick pan, grease it with butter and dust it with flour.
  2. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. After this time, a knife inserted into the center of the bread should come out clean. Let the pumpkin bread rest for 15 minutes and then transfer it to a wire rack. Let it cool completely.

    For muffins, the temperature should also be 160°C, but the baking time should be 30 minutes.
