Instead of the traditional Sloppy Joe burger's ground turkey filling in tomato sauce, try Cincinnati chili, which is loaded with more exotic notes of sweet spices. Ground turkey is fried with apple pie spices in chili sauce and served on buns topped with grated cheddar. Get ready: it's messy, but delicious!

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 220°C. Place potato balls on a baking sheet and bake until crispy, 20-25 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add most of the white onion, reserving 1/4 cup; cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add the ground turkey, chili powder, pie spice, a large pinch of salt, and some freshly ground black pepper. Cook, stirring and breaking up the ground turkey, until the turkey is well browned, 4 to 5 minutes. Add the chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 cup water; stir to combine. Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently, until the turkey is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly, 3 to 5 minutes; season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread the meat filling over the bottom halves of the buns. Sprinkle with grated cheese and the remaining finely chopped onion, and top with the bun tops. Serve with potato balls.
