This juicy, crisp watermelon, jicama, and mint salad in a vibrant citrus dressing is the perfect summer side dish for grilled meat. Balanced sweet and tart, it's perfectly refreshing and brings out the savory flavor of grilled meat or poultry. Prepare the salad just before serving.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 0.5 cup freshly squeezed orange juice + 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice + 1 tsp zest
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 jicama, cut into strips
  • 4 cups watermelon, cut into 5cm pieces.
  • 1/3 cup torn fresh mint leaves
