Preparing a variety of dishes for the holiday table quickly depletes your supply of dried herbs and spices. This piquant spice blend will help replenish them for your hosts. Believe me, anyone preparing a roast for the New Year will be happy to have this seasoning on hand. Pour it into a pretty jar or bag, tie it with a ribbon, and present it as an addition to the main gift.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 3 tablespoons ancho powder
  • 3 tbsp. l. ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp. ground coriander
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons coarse salt
  • 1 tbsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper

We recommend

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
