This healthy chocolate brownie is made with lentils, which are rich in protein, fiber, and iron, but you won't notice the beany flavor. The taste and texture are almost like a real brownie, and you can eat it without the guilt of extra carbs. The batter is made from cooked light brown lentils, ground oats, almond paste, natural applesauce, and egg. Sweetened with honey and semisweet chocolate chips, the brownie is incredibly chocolatey, soft on the inside, and crisp on the outside, just like a traditional brownie should be.

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray an 8x8 inch (20x20cm) square baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.

- Add the cooked lentils (and any remaining liquid), applesauce, honey, almond butter, vanilla extract, and egg and process in a food processor until smooth. Using a spoon, stir in at least 1 cup of chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the surface with a spatula. Sprinkle with the remaining chocolate chips. Bake the brownies for about 25 minutes. Let them cool for at least 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
