A hamburger recipe from celebrity chef Guy Fieri. The burger's name comes from the three English abbreviations "B," which stand for Beef, Bacon, and Bourbon. These hamburgers consists of grilled beef patties, crispy smoked bacon, smoked cheddar cheese and sweet bourbon sauce.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


For burgers:

  • 900 g of premium quality ground beef shoulder
  • 6 freshly baked buns, toasted and buttered
  • 6 thick slices smoked cheddar cheese
  • 12 slices thick-cut smoked bacon, fried until crisp
  • Salt, pepper and garlic salt

For the sweet bourbon sauce:

  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1/3 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2.5 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1.5 tsp. tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Prepare the sauce: In a bowl, combine cornstarch, powdered sugar, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper.

    Place a large saucepan over low heat and combine bourbon, 1 cup water, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, balsamic vinegar, mustard, garlic, onion, Tabasco, brown sugar and granulated sugar.

    Increase the heat, bring the mixture to a boil, then slowly add the dry mixture to the liquid, stirring vigorously. Once the mixture is thoroughly combined, cook for another minute. Turn off the heat.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. You can use a grill pan.

  3. Prepare the burgers: Form the minced meat into 6 patties. Season lightly with salt, pepper, and garlic salt.

    Fry the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until medium-rare. Top each patty with 2 strips of bacon. Top each patty with a thick slice of smoked cheese and let it melt.

    Place the patties in buns and top generously with bourbon sauce.
