Make a creative cheese truffle appetizer that will be a hit at your next party. These truffles are made with a mixture of cream cheese, Gorgonzola, and fried bacon bits with onions. Let it set in the refrigerator, then form into small balls, roll them in crushed pretzels, and serve with skewers for easy spearing and eating.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 170 g double-smoked bacon, finely chopped
  • 2 small shallots, chopped
  • 110 g of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 110 g crumbled gorgonzola, room temperature
  • 1.5 cups crushed pretzels
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place the bacon in a medium skillet and heat over medium heat. Cook until almost crisp, about 10 minutes. Add the shallots and cook for another 2 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, remove everything from the skillet to a bowl.
  2. Add the cream cheese and Gorgonzola to the bacon and onion mixture and mix well with a rubber spatula. Using a 1-tbsp ice cream scoop, scoop out small balls of the cheese mixture and roll them between your palms until smooth.

  3. Place on a plate, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. When the balls are ready to serveLet them sit at room temperature for 5 minutes. Combine the crushed pretzels with the chives in a small bowl. Roll the truffles in the topping and serve.
