This recipe is the easiest and quickest way to prepare a delicious treat that will impress your guests. A slice of blue cheese is tucked inside a date, which is then wrapped in a strip of prosciutto and lightly baked in the oven. The combination of salty ham, sweet date, and savory cheese is what makes this appetizer so special.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Using a small knife, cut each date lengthwise and unwrap it just enough to remove the pit, leaving the flesh intact. Fill the cavity of each date with a small piece of blue cheese and seal it inside.
- Cut a strip of prosciutto the same width as the length of each date and wrap it twice, almost completely covering the date.
- Place the dates on a baking sheet and bake for about 8 minutes, until the prosciutto is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Let cool slightly and serve warm.
Note
Look for dried Medjool dates in the produce section of your supermarket; they'll be the freshest.
