Brie cheese melts perfectly in the oven on miniature baguette slices. Thin ribbons of prosciutto, a drizzle of apricot jam, and fresh chives top the cheese, transform these Italian crostini into an elegant appetizer, bursting with a bouquet of contrasting flavors. Easy to make, impressive to look at, and a timeless favorite, they're the perfect appetizer for any occasion.


Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette, cut diagonally into 0.5 cm thick slices.
  • 220 g Brie cheese
  • 110 g thin slices of prosciutto (about 6 pieces), cut crosswise into 1 cm wide strips.
  • 1/4 cup apricot jam
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat the oven to broil. Place baguette slices on a foil-lined baking sheet. Slice the brie cheese into 0.5 cm thick slices and place one on top of each slice of bread. Grill until the cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.

  • Top each cheese toast with some prosciutto, a spoonful of apricot jam and a sprinkle of chives.
