These crostini can be prepared as a decoration for your festive snack board, and from its leftovers the day after the holiday. The combination of crispy bread, melting cheese, sausage, and pickles is something almost everyone loves!



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 small baguette
  • 2 tbsp softened salted butter
  • 1/4 cup cherry jam
  • 150 gr. grated fontina cheese
  • 60 g thinly sliced ​​spicy salami
  • 1/4 tbsp. mini gherkins

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to grill mode.
  2. Slice the baguette diagonally into 16 slices. Spread a thin layer of butter and jam on each slice, then arrange the crostini on a baking sheet. Sprinkle each with a generous pinch of fontina and bake in the oven for about 5 minutes.

  3. Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and transfer the crostini to a board or platter.
  4. Fold the salami into triangles and place one piece on each crostini. Garnish with a mini gherkin and serve.
