Crostini are an Italian appetizer consisting of a slice of toasted bread with a variety of toppings. The key to crostini is the crispiness of the bread, which should remain crisp even with a rich topping. Therefore, they should be assembled just before serving. It's not difficult at all and won't take much time. Make crostini like a miniature breakfast of egg and bacon on a slice of toast. Spread some spicy mayonnaise on top, top with a lettuce leaf, and slices of egg and fried bacon. It's delicious and looks lovely.


Ingredients:

  • 4 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. any hot sauce, such as Sriracha
  • 8 mini toasts from pumpernickel, 5 cm in size.
  • 3 leaves of Bibb lettuce, torn into 8 small pieces
  • 2 slices fried bacon, cut into strips 0.8 cm wide and 4 cm long.
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Cut the eggs crosswise into thin slices, you can eat the ends.
  • Step 2
  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and hot sauce.
  • Step 3
  • To assemble the crostini, spread the toasts with spicy mayonnaise. Place a piece of lettuce on top of the mayonnaise. Lay two overlapping egg slices and bacon pieces on top of the lettuce. Serve immediately.
