This recipe combines the '90s favorite Cosmopolitan with a classic '50s ginger ale punch. An ice ring with frozen fruit inside keeps the punch cold for a long time and also serves as a colorful garnish. If you can't find fresh cranberries, frozen ones will work.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 limes, thinly sliced
  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cups whole fresh cranberries
  • 2 bottles of 1.8 liters of cranberry juice
  • 2 cups of orange juice
  • 4 tbsp. vodka
  • 2 cups triple sec liqueur, such as Cointreau
  • 1 bottle (2 l) of ginger ale
  • Special equipment: a large ring-shaped pan or cake tin with a hole in the center

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place lime and orange slices in a large baking dish, layering them alternately and sprinkling cranberries between each layer. Combine 3/4 cup each cranberry juice, orange juice, and water. Pour the juice mixture over the sliced ​​fruit. Freeze until firm, about 6 hours.
  2. Combine the remaining cranberry and orange juices with the vodka and orange liqueur in a punch bowl. Add the ginger ale just before serving. Remove the ice ring from the mold and place it in the punch bowl. Serve the cocktail in glasses over ice.
