This is a fun new way to make cheeseburgers for a party. It's loaded with cheese, bread, tomato, pickle, crisp lettuce, and a juicy beef patty—everything we love about a good sandwich. Served on skewers, your cheeseburgers will be an unforgettable treat. Serve directly on the skewers with mustard and ketchup for dipping.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 450 g ground beef, preferably 20% fat
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tbsp ketchup + extra for serving
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 slices of white sandwich bread
  • 4 small cubes of iceberg lettuce (about 4 cm each), from 1 head of cabbage
  • 8 cherry tomatoes
  • 12 slices of pickled cucumbers
  • Mustard, for serving
  • Special equipment: 4-6 flat metal skewers 30 cm long, heat-resistant foil

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat. Lightly coat the grill grate with vegetable oil.
  2. Spray a plate with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Gently mix with your hands, being careful not to compact the ground beef. Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal-sized balls. Thread the balls onto two 12-inch flat metal skewers, 4 balls per skewer, spacing them apart. Place the skewers on a plate and spray them with cooking spray. Refrigerate until ready to grill.

  3. Place 2 skewers on the grill and cover. Grill, turning the skewers, until cooked through, about 12 minutes. Remove from the grill and let cool slightly. Increase the grill temperature to medium-high. Brush the meatballs on all sides with the remaining 2 tablespoons of ketchup and grill until glazed.
  4. Meanwhile, make 2 sandwiches, sandwiching 2 slices of American cheese between 2 slices of bread. Trim the crusts, then cut each sandwich into 4 equal-sized squares.
  5. Drizzle the iceberg lettuce leaves with a little oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  6. Thread each of the four skewers, in order: a cherry tomato, a cheese sandwich cube, a meatball, another cheese sandwich, a second meatball, lettuce, 3 pickle slices, and a cherry tomato.
  7. Place a piece of foil large enough to hold 4 skewers. Spray the foil with cooking spray and place it on the grill. Arrange the skewers on the foil. Cover and cook for 2 minutes, then carefully flip the skewers. Cover the grill again to melt the cheese, and cook the kebabs on the other side for about 1 minute. Serve the kebabs with ketchup and mustard.
