They also included a "sesame bun": the pizza's edge is sprinkled with sesame seeds before baking. Serve with shredded lettuce to fully appreciate the cheeseburger's flavor.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Place a pizza stone or large, upside-down baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven and preheat the oven to 230°C.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a medium skillet over medium heat until no longer pink, about 4 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the meat to paper towels to drain excess fat and let cool for 5 minutes. Transfer the cooled meat to a bowl, stir in the mustard, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Lightly flour a sheet of parchment paper placed on a pizza peel or another inverted baking sheet. Stretch the pizza dough onto the parchment into a 12-inch (30-cm) circle (or 14-inch (35-cm) for thinner pizzas) and brush the edge with vegetable oil, then sprinkle with sesame seeds. Sprinkle 1.5 cups of grated cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch (1-cm) border. Top with the beef and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese.
  4. Slide the pizza directly onto the parchment paper onto a hot baking stone or inverted baking sheet in the oven and bake until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling, about 15 minutes. Transfer the pizza to a cutting board, evenly distribute the pickle slices over the top, then sprinkle with onions. Drizzle the pizza with mustard and ketchup and serve hot with shredded lettuce.
