To serve quesadillas impressively, make them with small tortillas and assemble them like individual cakes, alternating layers of tortillas, meat sauce, shredded cheese, and tomato. A sweet chili ranch dressing adds a stunning flavor. Add some of the dressing to the meat sauce, and set the rest on the table for everyone to drizzle on their own portion.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1/4 cup Hidden Valley Sweet Chili Ranch Dressing
  • 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 450 g of ground beef
  • 8 corn tortillas, 15 cm in diameter.
  • 1 cup grated cheddar or pepper jack
  • 1 tomato, cut into pieces

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until softened. Add the ground beef and cook for 7-10 minutes, breaking up any lumps with a wooden spoon, until no longer pink, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

  3. Transfer the meat mixture to a large bowl and let cool slightly. Add the ranch dressing and toss to combine. Place one tortilla on a parchment-lined or greased baking sheet. Top with a quarter of the beef. Top with another tortilla, a quarter of the cheese, and a tomato.
  4. Assemble three more quesadillas in the same manner.
  5. Bake for 7-10 minutes, or until the tortillas are crispy and the cheese is melted. Serve immediately. Drizzle with additional ranch dressing, if desired. Transfer any leftovers immediately to a container and refrigerate. Do not leave the quesadillas on the counter for more than 2 hours (or more than 1 hour if the temperature is above 90°F).
