In a baking dish, pour almond milk and natural flavorings over the oats. Top with a crumble topping of oats, almonds, berries, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a little butter, which will create a delicious crispy crust when baked. Serve the oatmeal casserole for breakfast or dessert with a dollop of low-fat Greek yogurt.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Oatmeal

  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 and 1/4 cups rolled oats
  • 3 tbsp. l. brown sugar
  • 1 and 2/3 cups almond milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract

Topping

  • 1/3 cup sliced ​​almonds with skins
  • 1/3 cup oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp. whole grain flour
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 350 g of assorted frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries), defrosted (if measuring, then 2.5 cups frozen; 1.5 cups defrosted)
  • Greek yogurt 2% fat or low-fat milk, for serving (optional)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease a 2-quart baking dish or an 8-inch square pan with butter.
