There's no exact recipe for a garden salad, and its ingredients depend on what's currently growing in the garden. However, the most common ingredients are: salad greens, red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and olives. The highlight of a garden salad is the croutons, which add heartiness and crunch to the vegetables. Add a little grated Parmesan cheese and dress the salad with a fragrant, tart sauce made with mayonnaise, olive oil, grated cheese, and spices.
