Kansas-style barbecue sauce is a tomato-based sauce with a distinctive sweet and tangy flavor. It pairs perfectly with any grilled meat, poultry, or ribs. The sauce is made with ketchup and tomato paste, molasses, brown sugar, and a whole host of aromatic spices. Despite the extensive ingredient list, it's quite simple to prepare: simply combine everything in a saucepan, adding the ingredients in the order listed, simmer for 30 minutes, and enjoy.
