If you love banana splits, you can now indulge in their flavor even for breakfast. This granola is packed with all the flavors of the popular dessert. It can also be used in other desserts: sprinkle Banana Split granola over Neapolitan ice cream and don't forget to top it with a cherry.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 60 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons natural maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 and 3/4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup freeze-dried bananas, crushed
  • 1/3 tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate granules
  • 0.5 cup dried strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup dried pineapple, chopped

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). In a large bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt. Add the oats and walnuts and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Place on a rimmed baking sheet and spread evenly. Bake the oat mixture until golden brown, 30-35 minutes, stirring halfway through.

  3. Let cool completely on the baking sheet. Stir in bananas, chocolate, strawberries, and pineapple. The granola can be stored in a tightly sealed container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
