This granola was inspired by the American soft chocolate cake "Herman" with coconut and pecans. This mixture contains everything that makes this cake so delicious: chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and candied pecan pieces. This crunchy granola can be eaten for breakfast or as a dessert, mixed into ice cream or yogurt.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Combine the butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt in a large bowl. Add the rolled oats and stir to distribute evenly. Spread the granola on a rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Bake until golden brown and crispy, 30-35 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let cool completely on the baking sheet. Top with coconut flakes, candied pecans, and chocolate chips. Granola can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days..
