Asian satay skewers make a perfect beer appetizer at house parties. If you don't have a grill, a grill pan works great. This satay recipe is made with tender beef tenderloin, which is cut into thin strips, then skewered on individual small wooden skewers. The yogurt marinade with garlic, ginger, curry, and lemon juice, in which the beef marinates for several hours, gives the skewers a vibrant flavor. Garnish the finished skewers with fresh cilantro and serve on a large platter.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.

1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Thread the beef pieces onto soaked skewers, piercing each piece in two or more places to prevent it from falling off during grilling. Combine the yogurt, ginger, garlic, curry powder, and lemon juice in a shallow dish.
  2. Place the beef skewers in the yogurt marinade and turn them over to coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate the meat to marinate for 2 hours.

  3. Place a grill pan over medium heat and brush with oil to prevent sticking. Grill the satay for 3-5 minutes per side, until cooked through and crispy marks are visible. Serve on a large platter, garnished with cilantro.
